Blackpool&District are the early pace setters in the league, however this season could be one of the closest for a few years if the current good weather continues.

All the first round Cup games have been played - Please see below for the results of these games and also the Cup Semi Final draw and the Plate Round Robin fixtures

The first round cup draw and results are as follows:

Chorley CC 152-0 v Brooksbottom CC 57ao (played April 20th)
Trafford MV 166-5 v Burnley&Padiham 74ao (played May 11th)
Bolton Indians CC 82-1 v Blackpool&District 84-4 (played May 25th)

Semi-Final:
Southport&Birkdale CC 49ao v Chorley CC 50-6 (played May 18th)
Trafford MV v Blackpool&District (July 13th)

Plate Competition Games:
Burnley&Padiham v Brooksbottom CC (Date TBC)
Brooksbottom CC v Bolton Indians CC (Date TBC)
Bolton Indians CC V Burnley&Padiham (July 27th)
ALL these ties to be played by 17th August

Both the Cup and Plate Finals will take place on September 14th at Chorley CC

We have organised 2 junior competitions for 2008, with 7 Cricket Development Groups entering the U11's competition and 10 CDG's entering the U13's comp. More information will be added as the season progresses.

I would also like to thank Sarah Morton(Blackpool&District) for taking on the role of treasurer, a thankless job but none the less very important in the running of the LWCA.
